Working with an illustrator is a collaborative journey. Vladimir Mancic has developed a clear and structured workflow that helps clients understand each step, from the first idea to the final, print-ready files.
The process usually begins with a detailed questionnaire, which is downloadable by the client. This questionnaire allows Vladimir to get thoroughly acquainted with the project, its theme, style preferences, target audience, and technical requirements. Based on this input, he prepares initial sketches or concepts, which are then refined in close consultation with the client. After approval, the final artwork is created and prepared for professional print or digital publishing.
Be specific in the beginning. The more details you provide about your project, the smoother the process will be.
Think of your audience. Clear understanding of who the book or project is for helps shape the right style and tone.
Feedback is essential. Constructive comments on sketches and drafts help achieve the best possible result.
Allow time. Quality illustrations require careful development. Planning ahead ensures deadlines are met without rushing.
Focus on visuals. While Vladimir can guide you on design and layout, he does not provide proofreading or text editing – so having polished text ready in advance is highly recommended.
With more than two decades in the industry, Vladimir has worked on a wide range of projects – from children’s literature and educational books to commercial illustrations and promotional artwork.
His illustrations are known for their clarity, narrative strength, and ability to connect with readers across cultures and markets.
📄 Client Questionnaire – to help define the project scope and creative direction, a downloadable PDF questionnaire is available. It allows the illustrator to better understand the story, tone, and technical requirements before starting the work.
